I was hoping you could find some time to respond to this brief request. Could you please add a post to the Group FAQ providing feedback regarding this wiki? Did you like the concept? Would you find this site useful? What improvements could be made? I need this information for my assessment to be finalised.

Literacy and Numeracy Weblinks

This page is a great way to share good information! If you find a good article, blog, webpage, newspaper article, quote, etc that you think is worth sharing, please do so here. This may relate to literacy and numeracy in general, learning outcome related information, education and training policies and reforms - to mention a few.

It is as simple as adding a thread and the details of how to get to the information.

1. Click on 'start a new thread' below.
2. Give your thread an appropriate subject. Our users will be able to identify the content of the information. For example - "Website - New NRS document".
3. Add a message with any additional information you feel users may need. For example applications you have found for the information.
4. Add the directory to the site. Include the full address - no matter how big. For example - http://resourceme.wetpaint.com/page/Literacy+and+Numeracy+Weblinks
6. Click on Post at the bottom of the Thread.

To access the links simply copy the address from the thread and paste it into the address bar on your web browser.

Welcome to the 'Resource Me!' wiki!

This wiki is our central meeting place to share and discuss literacy and numeracy teaching tools, resources and plans. The key tool to this collaborative tool being effective for us all is SHARING. It is envisaged this space will become a key networking tool where you can search for resources that can be printed and used in the classroom to meet the needs of your learners. Check back regularly to review any new announcements or resources, review and or edit existing materials, or add resources that you found worked well in your classroom.

The building of this resource is simple and you have all the tools. Quite simply, to take a resource you must add at least one resource to either the literacy or numeracy tab. By adding a resource you are giving permission for others to use it.

This is a good place to communicate with all users. Are you looking for a particular type of resource? Do you need feedback on an assessment item you have developed? Need someone to moderate or validate with? Looking for a particular type of monitoring tool?

ANYTHING! This is a communication tool we can use for general issues, questions and concerns.

Start a new thread and add your question. For this to be an effective communication tool, we need to reply to other users if we are able to assist. (A 'thread' has been started to give you the opportunity to use the tool by introducing yourself).

Here is where we load literacy resources for sharing. The rules are simple - to use a resource, you must load a least one for sharing!

This is so simple to do. Just follow the instructions below -

1. Click on 'start a new thread' below.
2. Give your thread an appropriate subject. Our users will be able to identify the application of the resource. For example - "Days of the Week - Cloze, writing, sequencing".
3. Add a message with any additional information you feel users may need. For example you may list physical resources they need, or copyright considerations.
4. Click on More Tools (above) and then Add Attachment.
5. Browse for your resource and attach it.
6. Click on Post at the bottom of the Thread.

(This may seem complex at first, but it will become second nature so please persist). As you become more familiar and confident with Wetpaint and our Wiki, please respond to the Threads with comments and suggestions. These might relate to enhancements of the resource, or how you have used it. Perhaps, a thanks would be nice!
